This workshop will be a day-long session that will allow young women in high school to experience the creativity and innovation of engineering, science, and technology through demonstrations, presentations, panel discussion and interactive design session with female engineers from The MITRE Corporation. The overall goal of this workshop is to enlighten college-bound girls about Engineering as a major. The workshop activities will dispel some of the common myths around engineering and answer questions that participants may have.

Doors open at 8:30 AM. Program activities begin at 9:00 AM. Event registration will be held in the main lobby of the MITRE Center (C-building) upon arrival to the MITRE campus and participants will be escorted to the workshop locations.

Breakfast snacks and a pizza lunch will be provided.
Participants will be required to provide their own transportation.
Once you register online, permission slips will be sent by email to all registered participants. A signed permission slip must be handed in upon arrival in order to participate. Citizenship status must be provided to the organizers upon registration due to strict security requirements at MITRE.
Participants are encouraged to give a presentation about their experiences
at the workshop in their science class after the event.
Attendance at the workshop is free, but registration is limited to 45 participants on a first come first serve basis (with a maximum of 5 students attending per school). To register, click the “Register” button below and you will be directed to the registration page. Each student must be pre-registered online via the website below before November 6th. Because of MITRE's visitor policies, registrations are non-transferable between students.
A limited number of parent/teacher chaperones are welcome to participate. If you are interested, please register as a chaperone on the registration page. If we have reached maximum capacity, please contact the event organizers at ywie@mitre.org.
