This page describes iPAM installation. iPAM is a component in a broader information system that can serve individual as well as enterprise needs. iPAM acts as "glueware" that publishes information using commercial products, protocols, and clients. These notes describe a "standalone" installation of iPAM for the Windows(tm) operating system. By "standalone" we mean that the notes will guide you in installing only the basic iPAM framework not any other components that you may need as part of your information system. iPAM development is done in a Windows 95/98/NT environment. It is tested from time to time on Solaris(tm), Macintosh(tm), Linux (tm). However, testing has focused on Windows NT (tm) and on Windows 9x(tm). Please report problems running iPAM on any of these platforms to cda@mitre.org
